Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Formshot ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the app.
Description of the App
Formshot is a mobile application that helps you create compliant ID photos for passports, visas, and other official documents. Features include AI-powered background removal, compliance checking, image adjustment, and export in multiple formats. All image processing is performed on-device.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Formshot on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app;
- Rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the app to any third party;
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the app;
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
In-App Purchases
Formshot offers optional one-time in-app purchases ("purchases") that permanently unlock watermark-free exports for a specific photo. All purchases are:
- Processed through the respective app store platform (Google Play or App Store);
- Final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or platform policy;
- Tied to your store account and subject to the platform's own terms and policies.
We reserve the right to change pricing or available purchase options at any time. Existing purchases will not be affected by price changes.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Formshot only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to:
- Create fraudulent, altered, or forged identity documents;
- Impersonate any person or entity;
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights;
- Process photos of individuals without their consent.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any ID photos you produce comply with the requirements of the relevant authority. Formshot provides tools and reference specifications as a guide only and does not guarantee that any produced photo will be accepted by any government agency or institution.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and assets within the app are the property of Formshot and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the app does not grant you any ownership rights.
Photos you process using the app remain entirely your own. We claim no rights over your photos or the output images you create.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
- The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
- Any ID photo produced will be accepted by any authority;
- The app will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Formshot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Third-Party Services
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
Updates and Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction.
